May 25, 1994

Victoria is born at Abington Hosptial on May 25, 1994! Here we are shortly after coming home with big brother Nicky.

August 14, 1994
Victoria's christening day. Mom, Dad, Nicky and Victoria with godparents Joe and Ann.

February, 1996

Victoria, the spaghetti queen with Nicky. Who would have guessed she'd become such a picky eater!

September, 1997

Victoria began taking dancing lessons at Studio One School of Dance. She was a beautiful butterfly in her pink leotard!

May, 1998
Victoria's first dance recital! She knocked 'em dead with the "Hippie Hippie Shake!"

September, 1998
First day of Preschool! Excited and proud!

September, 1999
Big Kindergarten girl! School was familiar to Victoria since she often came with me when I volunteered in her brother's classroom. This was the beginning of a love of learning that lasted her entire life.

September 2000
Victoria and our new kitten, Edgar. Edgar would often cuddle up to Victoria when she became sick. He still remembers her and snuggles next to her things.

December 2001
"All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!" Victoria lost her first front tooth a few days before Christmas. The second fell out on Christmas Day!

November 9, 2002
Victoria's First Holy Communion day! It was one of November's jewels, sunny and warm. Little did we know that two years later it would be the saddest day of our lives.

February, 2003
Our cruise to Mexico! I look back on these days as the end of innocence---the last good time before cancer invaded our lives.

February 13, 2003
We learn that Victoria has a brain tumor. Surgery is scheduled for Monday.

February 28, 2003
Victoria returns to school. She bounced back from the surgery with very little side effects. We are hopeful. The surgery went well---98% of the tumor was successfully removed. Victoria is recovering beautifully. We begin radiation and chemotherapy. Victoria is so brave!

August, 2003
Victoria goes to the Ronald McDonald Camp for kids with cancer. It is her first time away from home. We are very nervous, but she has a great time. They were wonderful to her!

October, 2003
Victoria was granted a wish through Make-A-Wish. We went out to Chicago to visit American Girl Place. Victoria loved the American Girl books and dolls!

August, 2004
Victoria returns to Camp Ronald McDonald. We breathed a sigh of hope. This is year two and she was doing well. Maybe we were going to be okay after all.

September 2004
A very painful entry in the timeline. We get word that the cancer has returned. We pray for a miracle or that God will be merciful, and make her death quick and painless.

October 31, 2004
Victoria's last holiday---Halloween. It was a very difficult holiday for all of us, trying to make something wonderful out of a bad situation. She went out trick-or-treating dressed as a witch, but she made it a short night. It was no fun having to be wheeled around the neighborhood when your friends are running around.

November 9, 2004

Victoria went to heaven at 4:00 am. "When a little child departs we who are left behind must remember God loves children. Angels are hard to find."
